What We Build
We built a restaurant that funds everything we do.
Most nonprofits depend on donations. We built a business. Yala is a halal restaurant where 100% of profit goes to UMMA Foundation - feeding families, building wells, and running programs across 23+ countries.

The Idea
What if a nonprofit didn't need donations to survive?
That is the question Yala answers. Instead of asking people for money, we built a restaurant that earns it. Every plate sold, every catering order, every franchise royalty - it all flows back to UMMA Foundation programs.
Your donations still matter - they are the reason Yala exists in the first place. But Yala means your giving is now multiplied by a business that never stops earning.
How It Works
Every dollar has a job.
01
Yala Earns
Customers buy food. Franchise locations pay royalties. Catering generates revenue. The business runs.
02
UMMA Receives
100% of profit goes to UMMA Foundation. Not a percentage. Not after overhead. All of it.
03
Programs Run
Emergency relief in Gaza. Hope Bus meals in NYC. Water wells in Sudan. Education in Yemen.
04
Lives Change
Families eat. Children go to school. Communities rebuild. And the restaurant keeps earning - every single day.
The Impact
This is not a concept. It is running.

Scaling the Mission
Every new location is another revenue stream for relief.
Yala is now a franchise. Every new restaurant that opens means more revenue flowing to UMMA Foundation. 18 locations are pending across the Northeast. Each one creates 7-15 local jobs and sends 5% of every sale directly to the Hope Bus.
Owner-Operator
Entrepreneurs who run it themselves. Full control, full mission.
$150K-$200K investment
Investor Partner
Investors who fund it. Yala runs it. Strong returns, zero operations.
30-40% gross profit
Operator Partner
Experienced operators. Yala co-invests up to 50% of buildout.
Reduced capital needed
The System
One system. Every part feeds the next.
This is what makes UMMA different. We do not just ask for donations. We build things that generate their own revenue - and every dollar cycles back to people who need it.
Your support built this.
Yala exists because donors believed a nonprofit could build a business. Every donation you make funds the next location, the next program, the next family that eats because of this system.
